Question…
What to look for in a laser hair removal treatment place?
I’m looking into getting laser hair removal treatment, but I don’t know what kind of questions I should be asking to pick a good place considering there’s many options between dermatologists and spas. Thanks!

choosing the best clinic is essential to achieve maximum results. you can ask if they have several kind of laser machine for diff skin types because most clinics have only 1 type of laser machine and this may not be best for your skin type. make sure also that the staff are fully trained and experienced.

Definitely you should do your research. Go to the place, ask questions and make sure you are comfortable with the place as well as the people working there.
I know a great place: The Laser Clinic in Toronto. Check out their website for more into: http://www.thelaserclinic.ca. Their FAQ page has lots of good questions: http://www.thelaserclinic.ca/services_laser_hair_removal_toronto.html#faq
You can also watch their videos on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/THELASERCLINICvideos which are very informative.

I have no help on choosing who to pick, but I know who to avoid!
American Laser treatment centers are HORRIBLE! I spent $ 2500 with them, to get my lower legs, bikini, and underarms treated. While the treatment itself is painful and irritating, it’s not the worst problem.
I saw no results. None. Actually, my hair got thin and patchy for a month or so, but it grew back in. Supposedly this treatment came with a two year guarantee, if I was not happy with my results, I could get additional treatments.
When I brought this up with the company, the employee blamed me for the machine being “probably on the wrong setting for you”, and then told me the manager had moved to Florida, so they could do nothing about it.
